Following on from yesterday's post I thought it appropriate to post one of Jess Chambers' videos. I adore her voice. It seems able to turn the most mundane of material around (not implying that the song in this video is mundane). So what do I like here? Jess's voice lifts the song substantially, and with a creative video well-executed, a sparse but balanced production and with interesting dynamics around the string arrangements and vocal harmonies, the whole package works. But I would love to hear her do more material outside this genre...
